About This Blog

Nana

Rosina DaGrossa-Madera

This blog is meant to be a tribute to someone who has been the most inspirational person in my life, my grandmother Rosina DaGrossa-Madera.

Her life, the lessons she taught me, and especially the recipes I learned in her kitchen have helped to shape the person I am today.

With this blog I’ll share memories of her, and I encourage those of you who knew her to share them as well.

To Nana, with Love

  1. This was absolutely wonderful. Thank you for sharing, I will be following and looking forward to your entries. Not to mention the meals that will come from Nana’s recipes. Love you, Daphne

  2. I’ve read all the posts so far — I’m hooked —I’ve signed up for more posts –Glad your ride home was swifter than the ride up. I think you have the making of a good book here. I like your writing style.
Nana got me to enjoy spinach — I didn’t like spinach because I had only tasted canned spinach up to that time. She told me to prepare fresh spinach (I think I used frozen ) with garlic and sauteed it –it was good.
    Love, Linda

  3. A very nice blog. I especially like how you combine recipes with your life experience. Pat Conroy did the same in his book The Pat Conroy Cookbook.
